🔥 The Devil’s Footprints Enlists (Ep 1–3)
Shinra Kusakabe, a third-gen pyrokinetic with flashy foot-fire powers, joins Company 8.
Nicknamed "Devil’s Footprints," he wants to become a hero and uncover the truth behind his family's tragic death.
First missions hit hard emotionally as he learns the job's about compassion too.
He meets Arthur (a wannabe knight), gets wrecked by Maki, and encounters Joker, a mysterious dude who reveals Shinra's little brother Sho might still be alive.
Company 8 secretly investigating the other Fire Force squads for corruption.
So yeah, it gets serious real quick.
👑 Clash with Princess Hibana (Ep 4–6)
Company 5's Captain Hibana is kidnapping Infernals for experiments.
When she gets Iris, Shinra storms in and plants a dropkick right in her pride.
After some fire-on-fire combat and a flashback to her sad nun childhood, Hibana has a full villain-to-flirty-ally arc.
She spills the tea: someone’s using bugs to turn people into Infernals.
This gives Company 8 their next target, Company 1.
🕵️♂️ Uncovering the Insect Conspiracy (Ep 7–10)
Shinra and Arthur go undercover at Company 1.
Turns out Lieutenant Rekka is a cultist, injecting kids with Infernal bugs.
Shinra steps in and beats him, but before they can arrest him, snipers from the White Clad (the cult) kill Rekka.
Company 8 learns the Evangelist is behind it all, searching for people with a pure flame called Adolla Burst.
Surprise: Shinra has it.
And his brother Sho? He's leading the bad guys.
🌭 Asakusa Under Fire: Welcome Company 7! (Ep 11–14)
Company 8 visits the rowdy Company 7 in Asakusa, led by Benimaru Shinmon, who can blow stuff up with style.
After a misunderstanding fueled by illusion-based sabotage from the White Clad, Benimaru nearly wrecks Company 8.
But they eventually team up to save the district from a demon Infernal and tons of chaos.
🔧 New Recruits & Betrayals at Vulcan’s Workshop (Ep 15–17)
Company 8 tries to recruit genius engineer Vulcan, who hates the Fire Force.
After some bonding, they almost win him over, until Captain Giovanni attacks.
Vulcan's assistant Lisa betrays him and Shinra gets kidnapped.
But with a fiery comeback and some teamwork, Company 8 saves the day.
Bonus: we meet Sho, who wrecks Shinra with time-stopping powers before Joker swoops in to save our guy.
👇 Into the Nether: Showdowns Underground (Ep 18–20)
The White Clad hide underground in the Nether.
Company 8 splits up to fight through traps and enemies.
Tamaki and Iris beat a perv with luck and pipes, Maki dominates with rocket punches, Hinawa out-snipes a sniper, and Arthur proves he’s not entirely useless.
Vulcan saves Lisa from Giovanni, and Giovanni escapes (again).
⚔️ Brother vs. Brother: The Showdown (Ep 21–24)
Shinra finally fights Sho, who can slow time using his Adolla Burst.
It's not even close until Shinra pushes his powers past the limit and connects with Sho through a mental link.
Sho sees their past and starts to remember his big bro.
Cue the brother hug and emotional moment… then Haumea mind-snaps Sho and steals him back.
Company 8 barely escapes the collapsing Nether.
Shinra survives a stab wound thanks to Captain Huang, and finally, Captain Burns reveals the truth: their mom turned into a Demon Infernal to save Sho.
Sho was abducted by the Evangelist, and now Shinra knows he’s not just fighting monsters,he's fighting to bring his family back.
Season ends with a party, new allies, and Shinra smiling for real this time.
Company 8 is ready for what’s next.
